Schatz er den ledende produsent av klassiske skipsinstrumenter. Det fine håndtverket er omsluttet av en solid messingkasse og glasshus som lukkes med messingklemmer.

Schatz is the leading manufacturer of classic ships' instruments, and one of very few that still make the mechanical chiming movements that were so familiar to the naval and merchant seaman of 100 years ago. They can sound out the fascinating "Ship's Bells" watchkeeping system of four hours on four hours off, striking one bell after the first half-hour, two after an hour and so on until the end of watch "eight bells" - time to change crew and start the pattern again. The intricate workmanship is protected in stove-lacquered, solid brass cases with thick glass ports, secured by brass scuttle clamps. They have black hands and numerals on white dial. The "Royal Mariner" clock is the mechanical version, whilst the "Royal Ocean" (Identical in appearance apart from the key holes in the face) has a battery-driven quartz movement. The matching barometer also includes a thermometer at the bottom of the dial. Cases are 7" diameter, 3" deep. TWO-YEAR WARRANTY.
